Manufacturing Capability

From components to shipped devices.

Volts owns the production workflow end to end: incoming QA, PCB population, assembly, firmware programming, calibration, labeling and dispatch.

Materials intake & QA

Receive enclosures, PCBs and components. Run incoming QA, register batches and store parts for production.

PCB assembly

Populate PCBs with SMD/THT components. Solder, clean and inspect boards before assembly.

Device assembly

Mount boards into enclosures, install mechanical parts, close the housing and prepare devices for testing.

Firmware programming

Install firmware and load device-specific settings before calibration and final checks.

Calibration & labeling

Calibrate devices where applicable, add serial numbers, QR codes and labels, then prepare manuals and accessories.

Packing & dispatch

Pack devices with manuals and accessories, then dispatch to the customer or deployment site.

FAQ

Questions

Can I use your meters without Volts Cloud?

Yes. Depending on the device and project scope, we can work with standalone devices or broader integrations. Contact us for a consultation.

Do you sell directly to consumers / homeowners?

Yes. We mainly work on business and infrastructure deployments, but the system can also be installed in homes and works very well there too.

Can Volts integrate with existing BMS, SCADA or third-party systems?

Yes. We regularly assess existing BMS, SCADA and third-party environments and recommend the right integration path. Contact us for a consultation.

Can you work with existing meters and infrastructure, or does everything need to be replaced?

In many cases, yes. We evaluate the installed base and recommend the right retrofit or replacement approach. Contact us for a consultation.

Do you take on custom device or telemetry projects?

Yes. We take on custom device and telemetry projects when the use case and scope are clear. Contact us for a consultation.

Can you help us turn an idea into a production-ready device?

Yes. We can support the path from concept to a production-ready device. Contact us for a consultation.

What connectivity options do you support for remote or utility deployments?

We support several connectivity options depending on the deployment, including Modbus RTU, Wi-Fi, LAN, cellular and long-range utility links. Contact us for a consultation.

Where are the devices manufactured?

All design, assembly and testing happen at our facility in Sofia, Bulgaria — the same site that has been producing electricity meters since 1996. Keeping everything under one roof means faster iteration and tighter quality control.

Are your meters certified for billing?

Selected models carry CE certification. They are not MID-certified and are not suitable for fiscal metering. Contact us for model-specific compliance documentation.
